Samhain - Celebration & Connection

  • Rookery Retreat Cabin 7 Rookery Close Weston-super-Mare, England, BS22 9LN United Kingdom (map)

Samhain is a Gaelic festival typically honoured on the 31st October/or on 1st November - when the 'veil' is at its thinnest. Marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or "darker half" of the year, celebrations begin on the evening of 31 October, since the Celtic day began and ended at sunset.
This is about halfway between the autumnal equinox and winter solstice. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals along with Imbolc, Beltaine and Lughnasa.

Join me and other like minded souls to welcome this turn of the wheel - the time for rest, restoration and reconnection a time of thanks and ancestral power.

An evening of folklore, storytelling, cards and cakes. Intentions and firepit, candles and music.

You may wish to express your connection to the ancestral pull of this turn, by dressing according to tradition, dress up or just as you are.
However you choose to honour this celebration - please wear comfortable and warm attire, or add layers.

10 spaces available - includes a symbolic gift and notes to take home.

£30 pp.
